3. FACULTY ORGANIZATION

The Faculty carries out its activities through three basic organizational and working units such as:


- Teaching and Scientific Unit

- Institute of the Faculty of Economics

- The Publishing Center of the Faculty of Economics



3.1. Teaching and Scientific Unit


This Unit implements its activities through departments, sections and Faculty Council as the Faculty’s highest expert body.


The Unit covers the activities of the following departments:


Department for Actuaries, Econometrics and Operational Research
Department for Economic Theories
Department for International Economy
Department for Development, Planning and Economic Policy
Department for Accounting and Business Finance
Department for Monetary and Fiscal Economy
Department for Enterprise Economy and Management
Department for Marketing
Department for Economic Informatics and Cybernetics
Department for Economic Theories
Department of Non-Economic Subjects


And two sections:

Foreign languages Section
Informatics Section


The Faculty Council determines on allocation of teaching courses throughout departments. The departments and sections have their Heads who take care of organization of studies, improvement of teaching process, scientific development, training and promotion of associates and teachers.



3.2. The Institute of the Faculty of Economics


The Institute of the Faculty of Economics deal with scientific-research work from economics and related science fields, undertakes fundamental applied and other economic research, organizes scientific meetings and carries out other jobs in function of the scientific-research work of the Faculty.


3.3. Publishing Center


The Publishing Center of the Faculty of Economics publishes the results of the scientific-research work of the Faculty, reference books and teaching materials and literature, and scientific works of the Faculty’s teachers and associates.


The Faculty’s Secretariat


The Faculty’s Secretariat responsibilities include:

Legal and administrative work
Records of students
Information for students, acceptance of examination applications
Library work
Servicing of Faculty’s bodies’ needs
Keeping and maintaining of the faculty’s archives
Other administrative and similar activities
